Sean Lane has served as the Executive Vice President - Governmental Affairs, General Counsel and Secretary of Olympus Power, LLC since its establishment in January 2007.
He has served as a Managing Member of Kinsale Advisors, LLC since January 2003, providing legal, business and risk management advisory services to companies and investors in the energy, environmental, and technology industries including Olympus Power (and its predecessor Delta Power Company, LLC), Petro-Chem Development Co. Inc., and Quadlogic Controls Corporation.
From 2006 through 2012 Mr. Lane served as a member of the Board of Directors of Ram Energy Resources, Inc. (NASDAQ: RAME), an independent oil and natural gas company engaged in the acquisition, development, exploitation, exploration and production of oil and natural gas properties and the marketing of natural gas and crude oil.
From May 1999 through December 2002 Mr. Lane was the Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, and a Director of beenz.com inc. a global, internet currency business.
Mr. Lane served as a Managing Director of Liberty Power Investments, LLC and its predecessors and affiliates, an emerging markets focused electric power project development, finance and acquisition firm from December 1992 through May 1999.
Mr. Lane has also served as an executive of Compañía Boliviana de Energía Eléctrica, S.A. (NYSE: BLP), the leading Bolivian electric utility, as well as The Henley Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: HENG), Henley Properties, Inc. (NASDAQ: HENP), Wheelabrator Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: WTI), Catalyst Energy Corporation (NYSE: CE), and Catalyst Thermal Energy Corporation (NASDAQ: CETH), each with significant investments in US or international electricity generation and environmental remediation projects or companies.
Previously Mr. Lane was an attorney with the law firm of Brown & Wood (currently Sidley Austin LLP). Prior to joining Brown & Wood, Mr. Lane worked as a legislative assistant on the staff of the Merchant Marine Subcommittee of the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation and with the Special Trials Unit of the Law Department of The City of New York.
Mr. Lane received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. in Political Economy and History from Fordham University.
