Director of Environmental Affairs

Vince Brisini has served as the Director of Environmental Affairs for Olympus Power since January 2015. Mr. Brisini has extensive experience in environmental matters as they relate to electrical generation and other industries.  During his tenure with Olympus, Mr. Brisini has overseen environmental diligence with respect to the acquisition of new Olympus projects and ongoing environmental compliance issues at its operating facilities.  He has also served as an expert witness on regulatory and legislative matters in testimony before the U.S. House of Representative Committee on Energy & Commerce and the Pennsylvania House and Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committees. 

From 2011 through January 2015, Mr. Brisini served as the Deputy Secretary for the Office of Waste, Air, Radiation and Remediation for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.  In that role he oversaw the development of policies relating to those programs for implementation across the Commonwealth. 

From 1977 through 2010 Mr. Brisini worked for the Pennsylvania Electric Company (PENELEC) and its successor companies.  During that time, with increasing levels of responsibility, he developed and managed various environmental technical programs, including siting, installing and operating an ambient air monitoring network in the proximity of seven different power plants, developing the continuous emissions monitoring systems program, the source emissions testing performance and management program, the emissions testing and emissions monitoring program associated with the Homer City Innovative Technology Waiver, and the NPDES sampling and analysis data quality assurance program.  Mr. Brisini also oversaw the development and submission of air and water permits for new and existing power plants, and the quality assurance of all environmental monitoring data.  He was ultimately responsible for all air quality matters relating to 10 Gigawatts of installed capacity including coal, natural gas and fuel oil-fired generation.  Mr. Brisini was also engaged in a variety of government affairs and environmental policy matters, and the development and submission of comments to proposed state and federal regulations on behalf of PENELEC, General Public Utilities (GPU) and their successor companies.

Mr. Brisini is a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a BSc in Environmental Sciences, Air and Water Pollution and of the General Public Utilities Executive Institute.
